I can easily talk right over them with a 35W or 50W UHF commercial mobile. Because of the bubble pack's very limited range due to low transmit power, poor receiver design, and poor antenna design, they aren't much of an interference threat.
Most users of the 22-channel bubble packs are hardly aware that they really are GMRS radios because of the higher transmit power and additional frequencies that are GMRS-only and therefore require a GMRS license to legally transmit on these radios (except for channels 8-14 which are FRS only). The control head will probably be mounted up above the windshield somewhere, probably right behind the map lights / moonroof controls. The radio will probably mount under the driver's seat or in the rear compartment where the audio system amp is located. I just gotta figure out where to mount the radio and control head. CB is still useful for local radio communications although not my band of choice. While the crowd is thankfully gone for the most part, the truckers are still using CB seriously and legitimately. It was from all of the other idiots on the air trying to sound and talk like truckers. It wasn't from the truckers, because they're still there on the channel.
